Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you create a Zeedii account, we collect the information Firebase Authentication provides: your email address, display name, and profile photo if you sign in with Google. We do not ask for or store your password directly — Firebase handles credential storage.

We store your charity selection and selection history so we know where to route your donations.

When you click an affiliate link on Zeedii, we log the click — specifically the product, the retailer, and the timestamp. This is necessary for commission attribution. We do not have access to your payment information, your full purchase history on the retailer's site, or what else is in your cart.

If you use the AI shopping assistant, we store your search queries to improve recommendation quality. We do not share individual queries with third parties.

How we use it

We use your information to:

• Track affiliate commissions and route 30% of each confirmed commission to the charity you choose
• Display your impact dashboard with confirmed donation amounts
• Send you notifications when donations are confirmed (opt-in only)
• Improve product search and AI recommendations
• Detect and prevent fraud, including click fraud and commission manipulation

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share individual purchase data with charities. We do not build advertising profiles from your activity. We do not store payment card information.

Cookies

Zeedii uses essential cookies for session management through Firebase Authentication. These are required for the site to function and cannot be disabled while you are signed in.

When you click an affiliate link, the retailer's site sets its own cookies to attribute the purchase to Zeedii. These cookies are controlled by the retailer, not by us, and their duration varies: Amazon uses a 24-hour window, Walmart uses 3 days, and Target uses 7 days.

If we enable Google Analytics in the future, we will use it solely for understanding aggregate usage patterns — page views, feature adoption, and error rates. We will not use it for advertising or cross-site tracking. This policy will be updated before any analytics tracking is added.

Third-party services

Zeedii relies on the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Firebase (Google) — authentication, session management, and hosting
• Amazon Product Advertising API — product data and pricing from Amazon. Subject to the Amazon Associates Program operating agreement.
• Impact.com — affiliate tracking and commission reporting for Walmart and Target. Subject to Impact.com's publisher terms.
• Every.org — charitable donation disbursement to verified nonprofits
• Google Cloud Platform — infrastructure, database, and caching services

We encourage you to review each service's privacy policy. We share only the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data — your impact dashboard shows all tracked activity
• Delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us
• Export your donation history and account data
• Opt out of non-essential communications at any time

We retain your account data and donation history as long as your account is active. After deletion, we may retain anonymized, aggregated data (e.g., total donation amounts) for reporting purposes, but no personally identifiable information.
